Cat poo in garden - help!?

my husbands cats were doing the same thing, i took a screen, from an old grill, and set that on top of the flower bed and covered it with a little dirt, and if the cat cant scratch it wont poop their, it stopped them completely, you can use any type of screening, for this and it works..good luck
