Why wont my messenger allow me to use the aliases I made for my ID in IMs or in chat?

I know of 2 possibilities... 1 is to click on Messenger at the top left of your Messenger main window. Select My Profiles and check to see if your alias names listed are Active. The 2nd thing is when you are messaging a person, you can in the message window sorta bottom left choose a name in the drop down box to Send As. Maybe they will help maybe not. Good luck.
