I taught my betta fish how to jump and have a few questions...?

So I taught my male betta how to jump and I give him a treat when he does it on command (he only does it on command) but i dont want to make him do it too much and stress/hurt him so how many times a day/week should I have him jump? And he doesnt like his flaked food but he loves his frozen brine shrimp (i thaw it out and give him a few peices at a time to keep his tank cleaner and avoid over feeding) he will just spit out the flakes. Ive tried a few types of flakes and he spits out both of them. I know your supose to feed your betta a variety of foods but what should I do about him. I cant find bloodworms at my local petshop. And btw, it is a male betta living in a covered fish tank with plenty of air circulation, and I got him on sunday.
